This volume puts together an excellent collection of articles on Languages for specific Purposes, a volume which is intended to serve as a reference of current research in Spain and elsewhere.
This present book contains a collection of 29 papers from a variety of countries and written in various languages to represent this diverse variety of subfields. One main strand of papers relates to the teaching of LSPs, mainly at the university level. Many ofthese articles discuss different subjects of study or new approaches to methodology. A second major strand of papers in the present volume relates to linguistic aspects of LSPs, including several contributions focusing on the areas of Economics and Marketing. The final major theme appearing here is translation and interpretation and LSPs. This last group often overlaps with the linguistic studies in examining different aspects of language in translation. The remaining articles focus on specific fields of study or the the methodology of translation and interpretation.
