In this work, and on the basis of her research on medieval archaeology and history, Marta Sancho Planas insists on the need of establishing a dialogue between sources in order to further historical knowledge. She also defends the figure of the historian-archaeologist, who is able to transform technical data into historial knowledge, turning archaeology into living history, that is, into Total History.
