Contribución al conocimiento de la Platería en la Edad Moderna pretende ser una aportación a los estudios dedicados al arte de la plata, una creativa actividad especialmente intensa durante los siglos XVI, XVII y XVIII. Los trabajos de investigación que componen la obra abordan el tema con la idea de difundir, explicar y dar a conocer la figura del artista y sus obras, así como las técnicas de trabajo, los materiales y los tipos de piezas que fueron habituales durante la Edad Moderna. A Contribution to the Study of Silversmithing in the Early Modern Period aims at examining silversmithing during the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries, when this creative practice acquired a special relevance. The contributions contained in this volume approach this topic in order to study and make known the artists and their works, as well as the working methods and techniques employed, and the materials and the types of pieces regularly used during the early modern period.
