Esta publicación es el resultado de los debates desarrollados en el marco del Congreso Internacional "El reflejo del poder en la muerte", que conmemoraba los cien años de la declaración, de Monumento Históricó-Artístico a la Cámara sepulcral de Toya (1918-2018). Un libro que recoge nuevos supuestos teóricos, metodológicos e interpretativos centrados en los espacios funerarios iberos (siglos VII y I a.n.e.). Para ello se ha reunido un número importante de investigadoras e investigadores, de relevancia tanto internacional como nacional, cuyas contribuciones permiten analizar, desde distintos parámetros, los códigos con los que se expresa el poder de las élites en la muerte y las diversas estrategias de representación que generan, abordando los propios procesos de construcción de genealogías y memoria.
This publication is the result of the debates developed within the framework of the International Congress The Reflection of Power in Death, which commemorated the one hundredth anniversary of the declaration of the Sepulchral Chamber of Toya as a Historic-Artistic Monument (1918-2018). A book that brings together new theoretical, methodological and interpretative assumptions focused on Iberian funerary spaces (7th and 1st centuries BC). To this end, a significant number of researchers of both international and national relevance have been brought together, whose contributions allow us to analyse, from different parameters, the codes with which the power of the elites is expressed in death and the various strategies of representation that they generate, addressing the very processes of construction of genealogies and memory.
